PSSI To Showcase Food Safety Solutions at Global Expo

The PSSI Sanitation, Pest, and Safe Foods Chemical Innovations teams are set to showcase food safety solutions later this month when the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) kicks off in Atlanta, Georgia. IPPE is the world’s largest annual poultry and egg, meat and animal food industry event with last year’s expo drawing over 27,000 attendees representing 125 countries.

The expo presents an opportunity for the team to show our industry colleagues the work we are doing to provide a high level of service to all PSSI customers. PSSI will join other exhibitors to share best practices on providing full-service food safety protection, including rigorous compliance and safety programs for enhanced protection, third-party audit management to ensure audit-readiness, and real-time data monitoring collection, and analysis technology for performance optimization.

The Safe Foods Chemical Innovation team will also spotlight several pieces of its equipment that are instrumental in providing top-notch sanitation and intervention solutions to customers:

  • The Vorclone—a non-chemical intervention designed to filter and clean scalders, producing significant impacts on decreasing microbes in processing plants.
  • The Waterfall Cabinet—a drench cabinet system that is ideal for full coverage antimicrobial application.
  • The Cyclean Water Reuse System—the system filters and treats wash water, allowing processors to achieve water sustainability goals without sacrificing food safety.

PSSI team members will lead two of IPPE’s Tech Talks during the expo. These educational sessions touch on operational and technical issues critical to the industry. Scott King, PSSI’s VP of Food Safety, will headline “The Microbial Control Equation: A Comprehensive Approach to Controlling Environmental Microorganisms” on Tuesday, January 30th.  That same day, Corporate Microbiologist Josie Greve-Peterson will lead a discussion on “The Validation of PSSI’s 8-Steps of Sanitation Using Pathogen Inoculations on Stainless Steel Surfaces.”
