Computer Aided Dispatch (RESPONSE™ In-Field FD) provides extensive

Responders can communicate their status by MDC function that relieves
dispatchers of interaction while handling other responsibilities. Additionally,
PSSI software provides field responders with relevant information entered
by dispatchers and stored in the CAD system.

messaging for unit-to-unit and unit-to-dispatcher communications.

- Basic Calls for Service data is displayed to the unit with access
to additional information files (i.e., other units, incident times,
Directions, Hazards, Emergency, Other – hydrant, Premise History,
etc.) via the buttons on bottom of form

- Large status button screen is available to assist with field personnel
wearing fire gloves
- Agency has the ability to choose the statuses to be shown on the
mobile unit and to create their own statuses within the CAD system
that may be applicable to their unique procedures

- Ability to request map display for incident
- Use of standard mapping tools (i.e., Pan, Zoom, layer control)
- AVL equipped units/systems will show dynamically updated unit positions
on map display
- Status buttons are still accessible along side of map display
